Salli Frattini is an Emmy-nominated Executive Producer and one of the defining forces behind modern live entertainment and cultural broadcast. With more than four decades of experience, she has produced some of the most iconic global events in television and digital media, including the MTV Video Music Awards, MTV Movie Awards, YouTube Music Awards, and the NAACP Image Award-winning Black Girls Rock.
Her work sits at the intersection of culture, distribution, and audience engagement—areas that are central to Johnson Millennium’s strategy of building platform-driven companies powered by content, data, and global reach.
She made history as the first woman to executive produce an NFL Super Bowl Halftime Show—an achievement she has accomplished twice, a milestone that reflects both her leadership and her influence at the highest levels of global entertainment.
Her career is marked by a series of industry “firsts,” including launching the inaugural YouTube Live event and producing the first YouTube Music Awards—helping define the transition from traditional broadcast to large-scale digital live experiences.
During her tenure at MTV Networks, where she served as Senior Vice President and Executive in Charge of Production overseeing more than 1,000 hours of programming, Salli led major partnerships with the NFL, NBA, and MLB, and helped drive the first collaboration between NBC and MTV for Olympic programming—further cementing her role in shaping large-scale, cross-platform broadcast strategy.
Following her time at MTV, she founded Sunset Lane Entertainment in 2008, through which she led high-profile live productions, served as show-runner for major live series and specials, and executed network-backed special projects across television and digital platforms.
At Johnson Millennium, Salli advises on media strategy, original content development, and cultural platform integration across the ecosystem. Her perspective helps position JM at the intersection of entertainment, technology, and global distribution—where content becomes a strategic driver of engagement, brand, and long-term enterprise value.
